Yesterday I got to do a good bit. Korunn slept really long and I wanted to go do something so me and the Australians got some food at Subway and went to Hyde park. The park is huge and it looked like they were getting for a fair or something because there was a lot of stuff going on. After the park, Korunn went to go buy a jacket while I took a power nap. After she got back we went to the book reading which was really cool because we met some millionaires. We saw the person that came up with Bebo and sold it. The author of the book "Upgrade" by Paul Carr was very nice and was autographing the book, so I decided to get one since he just signed a movie deal on it, so I figured it must be good. The book isn't out in the US until next year so he said there is going to be some British terminolgy in it and I was like im fine with that because I am working on my British speaking skills, then of course I had to talk for him in my british accent...which did not go to well!! He just laughed and thats when I realized wow I must suck at a British accent, but I will be a pro when I get home!!!!
After the book reading, the guy Scott, who invited us showed us around Soho. Its amazing how much shopping they have. The clothes here are so much more cool then in America, they just have the cutest and most different stuff. The shoes are what amazed me the most. We saw shoes that are each hand made and so unique...I wanted a pair sooo bad but im trying to be good with my money :-) We walked around Soho for a good while and saw so much which will be shown in my pictures. After walking around Soho we walked back to the hostel. By that time it was like 10pm and then the other group of Americans asked if we wanted to go out to a club where it was student night and of course I said Yes. I want to do as much as I can while im here! Korunn didn't come...We went to a place called the Zoo bar and it was 2 stories. The bottom story was like the dance club and the other was more of a bar and hang out area. We met so many different people from all over the world. There were also a lot of Americans there. We saw a group of people doing a pup crawl also. We stayed till about 3am and then decided to head back. We had to take a bus because the tube was closed. We headed toward where we thought was Edgware rd to our hostel to The Green Man but we did not know that there were 2 Edgwares and went the totally wrong way. We ended up getting off at Edgware not edgware rd and went in a store and they said no you are ways away. Luckily there was a cab driver in the store and said he would drive us for 20 pounds. It took us a good 30 from there to get to our hostel. It wasn't till almost 5am that we got back, so I was exhausted and went to bed.
It's actually called a "pub crawl" not a "pup crawl." Although a "pup crawl" could be interesting especially if it involved puppies.
