The last two days havent been too exciting because I have been focusing on school work. yesterday we presented our first photography project to the class and luckily the teacher really liked it. Last night we cooked grilled cheese and just stayed in and I studied for History. I have my History midterm tomorrow. Today we went to two different galleries for photography. I wasn't a fan of the first one but I loved the second one. Gena got lost from the group because she thought we left her, which we didn't we were just in the other room. After photography we watched a short film in History and racapped for the midterm. When I got back to the dorms I decided I want to change my major. Ive just been soo confused of what I want to do with my life and being in Prague I realized how much I love the creative aspects of life like photography. Its what I would love to do and I could see myself doing that for the rest of my life. So im going to switch to fine arts and try out a few different things like graphic design and photography. I am working with a councilor at UAH becuase UNO doesnt have digital photography or much of a fine arts department. So I guess we shall see what happens. I just want to do something I love and be happy rather then make money and not be sure if I love it or not. Anyways...so after I messed around with that I started getting my second photography project together which is on light. We have to present it tomorrow. After that I had a study group with other people from my History class and I learned more during that then I did in class!! I feel more confident about the midterm so hopefully it goes well, it better for studying for four hours, and im going to get up early to look over it some more. Now I am about to ready a little in my history book then go to sleep!!
I'm so proud of you for figuring out what YOU want to do! Move forward and pursue what you want, cause in the end you'll be happiest by doing what you love - not what makes you money. Plus, you can move to NYC and go to Pratt!!!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the statues of children was one of the saddest things I ever saw. There are no words.
ReplyDeleteI agree - do what you love - your time on earth is short and valuable so you may as well spend it in a meaningful way. Before you know it you'll be old like me! Heaven forbid!
What is Pratt?
ReplyDeleteArent that statues sad...A lot of people cried when they saw them. I hope this is what i want to do I think it is but how do I know for sure until I try it so hopefully it is!!
I really like the window picture you took.
ReplyDeleteAlways do what you love!
Pratt is an art university here in NYC. They do photography, graphic design, etc.
ReplyDeleteYour bday present is on it's way to you! They said it takes 6-10 business days, so it will probably get there after your birthday, but I hope you like it!!!
Kool Eli said its like 40 grand a year or something..Thanks I cant wait to see what it is!!
ReplyDeleteThey have an internship through National Geographic in new york but you have to have some experience first so when i get back home im going to try and get a job at a photography place and teach myself photoshop then apply for the internship!! That would be my dream job!!
ReplyDeleteYou should do it....but you gotta make your own opportunities, it's not just talent.
ReplyDeleteAlso, let me know if you need CS4 (the latest Photoshop). I can also show you some things for photography in photoshop.
